Art Play Silk for Babies & Kids – Limited Edition by Biggest Little x Keiko Furoshiki
We’re so excited to share Art Play Silk, a heartfelt collaboration with Keiko Furoshiki, blending the grace of Japanese fabric and printmaking traditions with the joyful versatility of open-ended play.
Where Art and Imagination Intertwine
From our very first conversations, it was clear that Biggest Little and Keiko Furoshiki shared something special: a deep appreciation for thoughtful design, sustainable craft, and the quiet magic found in everyday rituals.
Each Art Play Silk scarf carries Keiko’s hand-drawn illustrations - rich in color, layered with movement, and full of cultural storytelling - transformed into a medium children can touch, twirl, wrap, and reimagine through play.
This collection is a bridge between cultures, between art and play, between tradition and the evolving wonder of childhood.
What’s a Play Silk—And Why It Matters
A play silk is a simple square of cloth that becomes anything your child dreams up: a superhero cape, a soft blanket, a pouch for treasures, a dance ribbon, or a cozy fort.
Designed to grow with your child (and look beautiful on you, too):
Babies – sensory play, tummy time, peekaboo
Toddlers – dress-up, pretend play, cozy forts
Older kids – storytelling, fort-building, creative movement
Parents – stroller cover, outfit pop, bag wrap, or a sweet keepsake to pass down
It's literally ENDLESS!

Thoughtful Materials, Intentional Design
Made from a light, breathable 70% cotton / 30% silk blend
Hand-illustrated by Keiko Kira, scaled for little hands and growing imaginations
Safety tested for newborns and compliant with U.S. toy standards
Every detail, from the color palette to the placement of shapes, was designed with a child’s sensory and developmental needs in mind.
A Keepsake That Grows With Your Family
From a sensory toy in early infancy to a favorite dress-up scarf, and later, a keepsake to pass on! Like a furoshiki wrap, Art Play Silk folds, drapes, ties, and transforms. Its simplicity is its magic. Each of the 3 prints is crafted with care and intention, a beautiful addition to your home, and a meaningful companion in your child’s play.
